  Alpha Consulting Asia Pacific

How often have you sat through a one off presentation (usually Death by Power Point), experienced a nice lunch and returned to your role and nothing really changed. Here at Alpha we believe that businesses need to get value for their training dollar, so training has to meet the needs of both the individual and the business. Training has a cost and therefore trainers and participants have accountability to the business. In this light training effectiveness needs to be measured not just by an end of course evaluation form.

So in these difficult economic times businesses are facing challenges to meet the professional development needs of their people. Our experience is that most companies really don’t get value for their training dollar. Some training providers charge high fees for one off training experiences without assuming the responsibility of whether the training was effective. With this clearly in mind Alpha wants to align how adults learn with professional development needs.

Alpha wants to reinvent what professional development should be, and that is removing all the non essential trimmings, such as big expensive folders that are dust gathers on book shelves, offer cost effective half day courses (where practical) on site rather than full day off site courses, and use localised data rather than generic coursework..
